VACANCY AT THE INTERNATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE ORGANISATION (ITSO)
The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), is quasi-independent Government body established under the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Act No.12 of 2003 to regulate communications and broadcasting sectors in Tanzania, on behalf of International Telecommunications Union ( ITU) a world-wide organization which brings government and industry together to coordinate the establishment and operation of global telecommunication network and services hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following post available at the ITSO Headquarters in Washington, DC 20015-2133, USA:-1. FUNCTIONS: Director General of ITSO and the Chief Executive Officer of Intelsat.

Applicants for this post are advised to state their nationality, quote the vacancy Ref. number including a Cover Letter and a Detailed Curriculum Vitae. Article X (c) of ITSO Agreement states that “the paramount consideration in the appointment of the Director General ….shall be the necessity of ensuring the highest standards of integrity, competency and efficiency…,” which should set forth the Experience, Training, Knowledge and Expertise of the candidate which are relevant to his or her ability to perform at the highest levels of efficiency the functions set forth for the Director General in the ITSO Agreement. Excellent relationship management and negotiations skills, In-depth knowledge of the satellite and telecommunications industry. The curriculum vitae should also be accompanied by a certificate attesting to the health of the candidate, And address applications with completed ITSO Personal History form (PHF) to the undersigned so as to reach him not later than 24th JUNE 2016 respectively. The post applied for should be clearly marked on top of the envelope.
