FOR THE SUPPLY CHEMICALS AND APPARATI FOR 7 ZONAL TEACHERS CENTRES
1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online with reference number AfDB34-01/15 of 20th January 2015, and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.
2. The United Republic of Tanzania has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Support to Technical Vocational Education and Training and Teachers Education (STVET-TE). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply of chemicals and Apparati for 7 zonal teachers college centers
3. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training (MESTV) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Chemicals and Apparati to 7 zonal teachers college centers in seven (7) packages as follows;
Package (1); Butimba Teachers College, package (2); Kleruu Teachers College, package (3); Mtwara Teachers College, package (4); Morogoro Teachers College, package (5); Monduli Teachers College, package (6); Tabora Teachers College, package (7); Mpwapwa Teachers College.
All of items in the above 7 packages will be supplied under one contract. Eligible bidders will be required to quote for all packages and all items in each package. Bidders not quoting for all packages and all quantities in each package their bids will be considered non-responsive and rejected for evaluation.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, 7Magogoni Street, Old UTS Building, Room No. 7, P.O. Box 9121, 11479Dar Es Salaam, TANZANIA Tel:+255-22-2120403 / +255-22-2120417 from 08.00 to 15.00 hours, Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on public holidays.
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS. 100,000.00 (Tanzania shillings one hundred thousand only)
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods.
7. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10.30HRS on Thursday 30th June 2016 and must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Tanzania Shilling 8,500,000.00 or any other convertible equivalent currency.
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10.45HRS on Thursday 30th June 2016 at the offices of Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, 7Magogoni Street, Main Building, First Floor, Conference Room.

FOR THE SUPPLY OF MOTORCYCLES
1. This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Daily News & Procurement Journal Issue no. 1768 dated 16th October, 2014.
2. The Government of Tanzania through the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training(MoEST) has received a Grant from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) towards the cost of Literacy & Numeracy Education Support (LANES) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to cover eligible payments under the contract for thesupply of Motorcycles.
3. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Trainingnow invites sealed tenders from eligible suppliers as tabulated below:

4 Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering (ICT) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013; Government Notice No. 446 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
5 Interested Tenderer may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, 7 Magogoni Street, P.O. Box 9121, 11479 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Old UTS Building, Room No. 7, from 0900 hours to 1500 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
6 A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers upon submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000 (Tanzanian Shillings: One Hundred Thousand Only). Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training.
7 All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security amounting 2.0% of the tender price in an acceptable form as specified in the ITT and Tender Data sheet (TDS) clause 18.3 or international freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
8 All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the following address:

Tenders will be opened on the same date and time in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening ceremony at the 1st Floor, Conference Room, Ministry of Education, Science Technology and Vocational Training Headquarters Building located at 7 Magogoni Street, 11479,Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Tender not received before the deadline will be deemed late and not accepted.
9 Late Tenders, portion of Tenders, electronic Tenders, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
